Sayyad Shirazi, Model of True Believers

TEHRAN Cowardly assassination of the proud Basiji, martyred commander of the army of Islam Sayyad Shirazi has triggered a wave of sorrow in the heart of the enlightened people of Iran, multiplying the hatred and aversion of the blind-hearted Munafeqin (hypocrites) in the heart of our people. The sweetness of sincere and warm treatment of martyr Sayyad Shirazi with anyone having a contact with him still lingers.

Even if one met him once, the love of the martyr remain in one's heart for long. Modesty, humbleness, courtesy, magnanimity, sympathy with and love of people and punctuality were port of the salient features of the dear martyr. He was cheerful in all conditions and his mystical and sincere behavior attracted anyone meeting him. Love of God, Velayat and people of Iran were concepts which refreshed the life of the endeared martyr.

Love of velayat had been ingrained deep in his psych, making him a self-less soldier of velayat. His kind and shining face was reminiscent of the Qoranic verse describing the characteristics of believes and true Believers. The character and performance of this valuable emir of the army of Islam embodies the true believers who evaluate all worldly manifestations with monotheistic identity.

From his appearance one could find his brilliant and sincere inward. Martyr Sayyad Shirazi's profound faith in the principles of Islam, practice of Islamic obligations and obedience to the Immaculate Imams were vividly observable in all aspects of his life. He was also responsive to the problems of the people. The dear martyr has brought religious and ideological values among his family who acted according to Islamic principles.

Martyr Sayyad Shirazi can be truly named a model for those who aspire after traversing the path of perfection. Martyr Seyed Morteza Avini, Seyed Asadollah Lajervardi and Ali Sayyad Shirazi were prototypes who indicated in practice that one can draw closer to the gate of martyrdom and attain this lofty position by self-purification and constant movement towards perfection.
